Easter is around the corner, and it is time to start thinking about the holiday. It falls earlier this year than in the past, with the holiday being on March 31 this year. Not everyone celebrates, but everyone enjoys candy, and may eat it, even if they don't enjoy the holiday. Easter candy is some of the best. It has more variety than other holidays, with plenty of chocolate, but also plenty of sweet and fruity candies. Many people look forward to this time of year and the delicious treats that come with it. While much of the Easter candy available is good, some are better left on the shelf and out of the Easter basket this year. Which candies are the worst for Easter?

There is a plethora of candy to choose from this Easter, but that doesn't mean they all taste good. There are some people enjoy and look forward to, and others that are instantly put in the trash. According to a recent study by candystore.com, the worst Easter candy this year is Cadbury Cream Eggs. The candy also took home the award last year. People have not changed their minds. While these are the worst, there are other candies that people dread as well.

While the Cadbury Cream Egg is king of being the worst Easter candy, the other ones you might want to avoid are Easter candy corn, which comes in as the second worst, and peeps, which rounds out the top three. Peeps, seem great in theory, but after one or two, most are usually over them until the following year. Candy corn is a bad candy in general, which is why it is surprising that they made an Easter version as well.

Continuing with the candies to avoid this Easter, coming in as the fourth worst is chocolate-covered marshmallow eggs. To round out the top five Easter candies to not eat this year, the fifth worst candy is a solid chocolate bunny. Chocolate bunnies are good, but most prefer to have a peanut butter or cookies and cream one. One of these five bad candies will likely end up in your Easter basket this year.
