There is nothing that makes me crazier than getting a text message from an adult that looks like HTML code exploded on it: "OMG R U GNG 2 movies W US 2NITE?"And that was from a 34 year old. The text messages from teenagers are almost incomprehensible.

Before smartphones you only had 140 characters to get your message across and that led to a whole language of abbreviations like "OMG," "BRB," "LOL,"LTR," "BFF," and about ten thousand more. There are times I felt like a code cracker just trying to figure out what my friends where trying to tell me.

Based on all of the fight videos we see on YouTube, it seems like people these days don't whip out their phones to call the cops when they see a CRIME going down . . . they RECORD it. In Chicago, people can now do both.

Chicago has become the first U.S. city where residents can text photos or videos of crimes to 911. Those files go to the police's crime prevention info center, then get forwarded to first responders or detectives.

It was funny while it lasted. Remember the video of the goofy girl who's so busy trying to walk and text at the same time that she falls right into a mall fountain? The hilarious video went viral, and its pitiable star remained anonymous — until now.

Turns out, not only is she not a "girl" — she's 49 year-old woman Cathy Cruz Marrero, an employee at the mall — she's pissed off about the video hitting the web, and says she'll sue. "My issue is I don't think security was professional because they didn't send anyone to check on me until 20 minutes later and I had already left," she told local reporters.
