Is There More Rain and Flooding Coming to California?

The last few weeks in Southern California have not been kind weather-wise. The area has seen some of the most bizarre weather it has seen in many years, and it has residents having to check the weather for once. Typically Southern California is known for consistent weather, which is typically sunny, clear skies, and well above freezing. That hasn't been the case as rain has hit hard lately, causing flooding, and even a tornado warning issued recently in the San Diego area. While most would assume it is over and wouldn't last long, there might be more rain and flooding on the way soon.

Potential Rain and Flooding in California

The weather hasn't been kind this week already, with frost advisories in certain areas across Southern California. The good news is that things should warm up and dry out a little through the week, but coming this weekend, another storm is set to approach that could lead to more flooding, with heavy rainfall. The storm will move into the area late Saturday, into Sunday, with Monday bringing heavy rain as the storm rolls through. It is still a little difficult to predict how much rain it will bring, but as the weekend gets closer, it will become easier to tell. While this storm is not expected to be as bad as the one in January, it could still cause problems.

Last month saw record-breaking rainfall in Southern California, with nearly 15 inches of rain in part of Los Angeles County. This past week, there was a tornado warning in San Diego County, adding to a bizarre start to the year weather-wise for the area.
