Idaho Home to Some of the Best Road Trips in the Country
While many of us are anticipating taking vacations to get away from home for a few days or weeks this summer, not all of us will be able to afford to fly to our destination. Sometimes there is nothing better than the old fashion family road trip. While these often lead to great family memories, they can lead to long boring hours as well. Where your road trip can dictate how enjoyable the trip is and how far you go can as well. You don't have to drive far to find some of the best road trips in the country, with a couple of the best being in Idaho.
Best Road Trip in Idaho
A list was recently released by Gunther Motor Company ranking the top 100 road trips in the county, and Idaho made the list multiple times, with the 19th-ranked road trip in the entire country being one in Idaho. According to the list, the trip from Idaho Falls to Sandpoint, via Highway 93 and 75 is the best trip in the state and one of the twenty best in America. The drive would typically take around 7 hours, but taking the highway would take a little bit longer. From Twin, it would add about 2 1/2 hours if you wanted to start from Idaho Falls, and would likely be a better idea to take a slightly different route to save time.
Other Good Road Trips in Idaho
One other road trip in Idaho made the list and that is from Boise to Coeur d'Alene via U.S. Route 95. This road trip ranks 94 on the list of best road trips in America. This one would be much easier for residents of the Magic Valley, as you could drive to Boise and then take the entire route. The drive would take about 6 1/2 hours from Boise, and about 8 1/2 from Twin Falls, The further north you get, the prettier the drive gets. Both of these routes are a must for anyone that calls Idaho home.
