A petition has been started by the Idaho Family Policy Center to stop drag events in public places.

There's a petition going around right now to have the holiday moved to the final Saturday of October so that work and school don't get in the way of the festivities.

A petition to put a recall ballot measure for Filer's mayor and city council on November's ballot has fallen short. The Twin Falls County Clerk's Office sent the petitions back just short of 196 signatures, which is the threshold needed to get the measure on the ballot.

In an almost M. Night Shyamalan type twist, there is a rumor running rampant that the NFL wants to charge performers of the Super Bowl half-time show. Normally it is just a freebie. The artist performs for free and the NFL gets all the benefit.

Chubby Checker in 1988, Blues Brothers, James Brown, and ZZ Top in 1997, and The Stones in 2006. There have also been a few not so good choices. Remember Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson in 2004 or Beyonce in 2003?

I think we got ripped off on moon names. Other planets in the solar system have cool moons named "Ganymede," "Io," "Titan," "Europa," "Phobos," and "Charon." Ours is called "The Moon." And considering it's the 5th biggest moon in the system, I think it should get a little more respect... and a new name.

Brad Weiser and I were complaining about the time change this morning. Weird! A listener called during our rant and pointed out that Hawaii and Arizona don't participate in the the time change. So why does Idaho?

Vertical Dance, a British pole-dancing company, is petitioning the International Olympic Committee to get their sport recognized as a test event for the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. According to the petition, which has so far garnered about 6,000 signatures, "Over 50 countries worldwide take part in lessons, workshops, conventions, expose, competitions and teacher training."
