$550 Million Dollars... That number is kind of hard to fathom. That's a lot of money. And that's how much you could win if you hit this Saturday's (May 18th) Powerball Jackpot.

So you didn't win the Powerball last night.  If you did, you'd be on a private jet to Bora Bora right now . . . not sitting in traffic, listening to us, and debating whether to stop at Burger King for a Croissan'wich.

According to the Baltimore Sun 19-year-old Nick Ruth of Towson, Maryland was diagnosed with leukemia eight years ago, and beat it four years ago.  His cancer has been in remission ever since.  And now . . . he's also WON THE LOTTERY.

There's always someone at the office that seems to be willing to rally around the lottery, gather up the dollars from everyone in the office and go for the jackpot as a team. I buy in every time.  In fact, I'm pretty sure that it's my rotten luck that's bringing the group down...

Brothers Bill and Mike Edson were in Boise Tuesday to claim a $1 million prize from the Idaho Lottery. Bill is from Twin Falls, and his brother Mike is from Salt Lake City. Their ticket matched the first five numbers but not the Powerball number itself for Saturday night’s draw.

This just seems unfair.  How can one family POSSIBLY be this lucky? I'm not even lucky enough to find a great parking spot at the grocery store. Charlotte Observer reported that back in 1991, Amy McCauley of Fort Mill, South Carolina won $15.5 MILLION in the New York lottery.  And rather than just call it a day and retire from the lottery, she kept playing.

Tyrone Curry doesn't have to wake up at 4 a.m. and mop the floors at Evergreen High School in Seattle. Not after the custodian won the Washington State lottery to the tune of $3.41 million five years ago.

The holders of two winning tickets sold in Idaho and Washington will be sharing Mega Million's $355 million jackpot from Tuesday night's drawing, lottery officials said Wednesday. The two winners will each get $177.5 million. The winning numbers were 4, 8, 15, 25 and 47, with 42 being the Mega Ball number.
