Today (June 5th) marks a once-in-a-lifetime astronomical event as the planet Venus transits across the face of the sun in perfect alignment for viewing on Earth. It hasn't been seen here since 1882, and won't occur again until 2117. It's one of the rarest predictable astronomical events, and will likely be obscured as storms move through the area.

On May 20th Twin Falls will experience a partial solar eclipse. Sunday evening, starting at about 6:00pm, the moon will block nearly all of the sun leaving only a thin crescent visible. It should be spectacular! We spoke with Chris Anderson, from CSI about some of the misconceptions regarding viewing safety.  Here are a few things we learned

Garry Carson’s ‘Magical Mystery Show’ comes to the CSI Fine Arts Auditorium tomorrow (Saturday) at 2 and 7 p.m. Carson was a long-running magician at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and has appeared before audiences around the world. Tickets are $10 each at the door. (We’ll have vouchers to give away. They’re for the 2:00 show only and must be redeemed between 1 and 1:30 p.m. Saturday)
