BOISE, Idaho (AP) — As state officials prepare to honor the fifteenth anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, a small part will include sprucing up the yellow ribbons around the Idaho Capitol.

It's been thirteen years since the tragic events on September 11th, 2001 claimed the lives of nearly 3,000 men, women, and children, and changed our lives. I will never forget how I felt on that morning when the world seemed to stop turning.

Here's a challenge for you: When your kids get home from school today, ask them about what their teachers said about 9/11. You might be surprised.

We become so consumed with our lives that over time, we may not remember our exact feelings that we experienced 13 years ago. September 11th hits home with all of us, and digging deep to remember how we felt 13 years ago is our American duty.

No matter how busy our lives become this time of year, no matter how many appointments we have and places we need to be, I think time goes by a little slower for all of us on September 11th. As the years pass  I will be the first to admit I used to hold my breath about the tragic day the entire first two weeks of September and now it sneaks up on me...

Sometimes you can commemorate an anniversary with a special sale, but when it comes to the anniversary of an attack on our country where thousands of people lost their lives it's best to proceed with caution.

On the 11th anniversary of September 11, 2001, intelligence officials say there is no "credible or specific" threat that terrorist organizations are planning an attack.

I wasn't sure what we were going to discuss on the show today regarding 911.  Over the years, I have been blessed by your stories of sadness, fear, courage and hope during the days that surround the anniversary of September 11.  Today's discussion was no exception and it was inspired by this email.

In what's become a grim and somber ritual for Americans, citizens will gather Tuesday to mark the 11th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, in which Islamic extremists killed nearly 3,000 people.
