A new year, but a similar trend continues to be happening around Twin Falls, and that is another store is closing its doors, but unlike other stores that have closed in the area, this one is a little different. It seems to be far too often that another business is closing its doors and saying goodbye to the area, but there are those rare instances where not everything is as it seems, and perhaps the store that closed, isn't truly closed in the way you think.

Emri Rose was a boutique located in the middle of the Magic Valley Mall that mostly sold children's clothes from sizes 0 to 16 and accessories. The store did well and many parents in the area enjoyed it when shopping for their little ones, but the store closed its doors in the mall last Monday, January, 16. The reason for the closure though, isn't what most would think. Many businesses in Twin have closed due to the cost of rent going up, the lack of businesses or the pandemic catching up with them. That is not the case with Emri Rose, with the store having closed due to the owner being a mother of four, having the main store in Burley, and not wanting to lose time with her children going back and forth between the two locations. Like everywhere else, there is a shortage of workers, and the time dedicated to the Twin Falls store took a mother away from her children, and she has her priorities in order.

The Emri Rose store in Twin Falls opened in June of last year, with the main store in Burley having opened in May of 2021. While the Twin Falls store focused more on clothing and accessories for children, the store in Burley has more to offer, such as high-end furniture from lines like Uttermost, Howard Elliot, Hooker Furniture and so many more brands, as well as their children's boutique in the back rooms. The owner hopes to one day to reopen a store in Twin Falls, but would likely not put it in the Magic Valley Mall, so there is more control over the hours of operation. If you enjoyed shopping at the store but are unable to make it to Burley, you can shop online at their website, emrirose.com. Make sure to put in the code Twinfalls at checkout for free shipping.

While the store in Twin may have closed, Burley isn't that far of a drive, and you can always order online. Make sure to follow the store on Facebook for any store updates, and to see when a potential return to Twin Falls could happen. While it is sad to continue seeing stores in the area close, when one closes for reasons like this, and remains relatively close, it makes it a little easier to accept. Knowing we can still shop at Emri Rose is great, but now the question lingers, what will fill the vacant spot in the mall?
