Idaho State Police responded to multiple crashes Monday afternoon and night north of Blackfoot.

The first accident was a two-vehicle crash that happened on northbound I-15 near mile marker 95 at around 3:50 p.m.

37-year-old Fernando Trejo-Acevedo from Idaho Falls was driving a cement truck northbound in the right lane of I-15. Trejo-Acevedo's vehicle hit a trailer attached to a Yukon that was driven by 43-year-old Jeremy Jackson from Salt Lake City, Utah.

The crash caused the truck to tip over and land on the right shoulder. Police said everyone was wearing seatbelts in the crash.

The second call for ISP came at around 6:40 p.m. when a three-vehicle crash happened. The crash was again on I-15 but near mile marker 93.

Police said 31-year-old Stephen Bosworth from Pocatello was stopped near mile marker 93 because of a crash earlier in a Dodge Journey. 31-year-old Kandiss Sanchez from Blackfoot was stopped behind Bosworth in a Hyundai Elantra.

Police said 49-year-old Michael Davis from Blackfoot was driving northbound in an Outback when he didn't stop, causing his car to hit Sanchez's car, which then hit Bosworth's car.

Davis' Outback went into the median and then started on fire.

Sanchez was taken by ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Police said everyone involved in the crash was wearing their seatbelts.

The three-vehicle crash caused the northbound right lane to be blocked for about three hours.

Idaho State Police was helped by the Bingham Sheriff's Office and Blackfoot Police Department at the scene of the later crash.
