Museum of Idaho to Open New Exhibit

The Museum of Idaho in Idaho Falls is opening a new exhibit this week, and it is the first of its kind. Opening this Saturday, January 22 will be the first Asian exhibit in the history of the museum. They will have an interactive and live-performing Genghis Khan exhibit, and it will run until September 5 of this year.

The Genghis Khan exhibit will be interactive, with visitors able to follow the life of different individuals during that time frame and how it was being part of the Mongol empire. There will be Mongolian musicians playing traditional music every day for the exhibit. It will focus on the largest land empire ever established and illustrate the brutality in which Genghis Khan lead. There are 13th-century weapons, jewelry, and items from that time on display.

Prices for the Museum of Idaho are $13 for adults, $12 for seniors, and $11 for children aged 4-17 or anyone with a valid college id.
