Magic Valley Boys And Girls Club Teams Up With LOK Wishing Tree Foundation
The Boys and Girls Club of Magic Valley will be teaming up with The Lindsey O'Brien Kesling Wishing Tree Foundation the week of November 8th - 12th for a leadership development program for carbon monoxide awareness and safety. The week will end with a public safety event on Friday, November 12, at 999 Frontier Road from 4 PM to 5:30 PM.

For those attending the event, there will be carbon monoxide information given out as well as carbon monoxide alarms, while supplies last. For those not familiar with carbon monoxide and its deadly effects, this would be a great event to attend and take your family to. Carbon monoxide is called the silent killer for a reason; you can't see it, smell it or taste it, so the more educated you are on it, the better to avoid a fatal incident.
All Boys and Girls Club members aged 11 to 17 will be going through training throughout the week to prepare for the event. They will spend time with the Twin Falls Fire Marshall, Tim Lauda, in their preparation, as well as create banners, receive support for engaging with the public and be educated on carbon monoxide. Dot Kesling-Rosenblum is the founder of the LOK Wishing Tree Foundation and is one of Twin Falls' own, and will be on hand throughout the program to help the boys and girls.
For more information, you can visit the LOK Wishing Tree Foundation Facebook page or you can visit their website where you can also receive a 20% discount on a carbon monoxide alarm and learn more about CO.
