Back in late June, Kane Brown shared an Instagram video of himself in the studio, dancing and lip-syncing along to a demo recording of a then-unreleased track, "Like a Rodeo." The post came with a promise to fans: One million views would be rewarded with an official release.

Two weeks and 1.25 million views later, Brown is keeping his promise. On Friday (July 12), the singer dropped the studio version of "Like a Rodeo," a song that compares a rocky yet rewarding relationship to a ride on a broncin’ buck.

"Yeah, love is like a rodeo / Tryin' to see how far we go / After one touch, became obsessed with the rush / Yeah, love is like a rodeo / I just wanna steal the show / We finally fall, but we keep holding on," sings Brown as his usual baritone delivery flows along with a standout beat and a whistling sample that’s more country than western.

“Like a Rodeo” isn’t an official single, but it’s unclear if it teases a new release. Songs off Brown’s sophomore album, 2018's Experiment, are still getting released to country radio. His current single “Homesick" was preceded by two No. 1 songs, "Lose It" and "Good as You."

"Like a Rodeo" arrives at a busy time in Brown’s career and personal life. He’s spent his summer on the road with Jason Aldean's Ride All Night Tour, and later this year, he and his wife, Katelyn Jae, will become parents for the first time. They’ll also celebrate their first wedding anniversary in October.
