Voice Of Drowned Girl Said To Be Heard At California Water Park

Waterparks are something most of us have fond memories of growing up. A park in Southern California has received a lot of attention over the years for something far more disturbing than shooting watery tunnels behind hairy backs and low-riding swim trunks.

I have very fond memories of the local water park as a kid. It was a place called Wild Rivers, and my dad would drop me and my friends off for an afternoon of hitting the waterslides practically every weekend in the summer months. I remember wanting to work there someday, but thankfully I expanded my career horizons.

It's very sad to think a child may have drowned there. Despite the stories, the park has thrived since the mid-eighties.

There are an estimated 1,300 waterparks in North America, according to koolfog.com. Raging Waters is one that's located in San Dimas and billed as the largest waterpark in California. San Dimas is just 28 miles east of Los Angeles, and it's allegedly haunted by multiple ghosts, according to a website that features haunted properties of the state.

Strange ringing sounds, footsteps, and a girl's voice calling out for help have all been reported to the staff of the waterpark. An area known as Wave Cove seems to have the most paranormal reports, which also happens to be the site of a drowning from years ago.

I have to say, I probably would pass on doing any nighttime slide-riding where such eerie things have been said to have occurred. It's very sad to think a child may have drowned there. Despite the stories, the park has thrived since the mid-eighties.
