Ex-Soldier Claims Military Jets Chased UFOs From Southern Idaho

Details of a recent sighting of unidentified flying objects in southern Idaho have been published by a national center that investigates matters of unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP). The incident took place on September 4, 2026, and involved military aircraft, according to the witness and former soldier.

The National UFO Reporting Center (NUFORC) in Washington State handles a high number of reports of UAP in the United States annually. The center has also investigated 19 cases in Idaho since the start of the year.

Following reports from the public, the NUFORC conducts interviews with witnesses in an effort to rationalize or validate such claims. The most recent Idaho sighting took place approximately 170 miles east of Twin Falls in Caribou County.

The full report was published this week for public viewing by the NUFORC. On the evening of Friday, September 4, two witnesses near the community of Bench claim to have seen three UAPs pulling off 'multiple U-turns,' and in a manner that is 'physically impossible,' according to the report.

One witness, who claims to have served in the military from 2003 to 2015, stated he heard military jets flying near the objects, which were triangular and multi-colored.

'Objects were initially flying north. We heard jets at the same time', said the witness. 'I know what fighters sound like.'

The witness gave the coordinates of 42.47801, -111.58506 as being the site where he witnessed the incident last week. The incident is identified in the report as #200684.
