It's obvious that many Magic Valley businesses are currently struggling mightily. One of the main reasons for this is due to understaffing. I can't tell you how many times I've been apologized to in a restaurant lobby by a host or hostess for the fact half the seats inside are empty in the past year. "We're short-staffed," has become a motto in the restaurant business. Testing for marijuana still happens regularly in Idaho. Whether you're applying for a factory job, a food service position, or a career in accounting, most employers still send applicants to the local testing office. Maybe the reason some Idaho companies are struggling is due to their own, outdated policies.

The old "this is your brain on drugs" commercial might be accurate when talking about methamphetamine or other synthetic drugs, but to assume a plant that has been legalized for recreational use in nearly half the country impairs a user's ability to the point of being a liability might be a primitive way of thinking.
