Did Raising Cane’s in Twin Falls Just Announce Their Grand Opening Date

It has been a year of speculation about restaurants in Southern Idaho. In Twin Falls, we’ve seen quite a few restaurants close recently, making room for others to take their place. It’s an interesting game to play because it seems that as soon as one business closes, people immediately begin making claims about what will replace it.

Possibly the most interesting thing about the speculation is that, sometimes, it’s right.

Big Changes in the Twin Falls Restaurant Landscape

Take In-N-Out Burger as an example. People were adamant that there was no way the burger restaurant would be replacing the Outback Steakhouse. Yet, here we are with Outback closed and In-N-Out building in that exact location. There isn’t a plan for when they’ll open, but not far down the street, another restaurant is under construction and may have revealed the opening date.

We had a similar situation a few months ago with the Raising Cane’s restaurant when a local told us that the restaurant had opened. We looked on Google, and it said they were open, but when I drove there, they were clearly not even close to opening. Now we have another indication that the restaurant is getting close, perhaps even the day it will open.

I got a message today from a friend that Raising Cane’s had announced their opening date, but I looked through the RC website and social media and couldn’t find anything. I even wrote their corporate office to get information. While I waited to hear back, my friend told me to search ‘Fast Food Twin Falls’ and there it was, OPENS FEB 3.

Not long after I did that search, Raising Cane’s wrote me back and contradicted what I was seeing on the Google search. The response I got was:

In response to your inquiry, possible changes in construction schedules and other factors could affect the scheduled opening date. Therefore, we are unable to provide an exact opening date.

So, no, there isn’t a date set for the grand opening of Raising Cane’s in Twin Falls. I don’t know who is in charge of updating the info for our location, but they are doing a pretty good job of keeping our interest by getting our hopes up by posting false information. Be careful, though, we may not actually believe you when you make the real announcement.
