The weekend was a deadly and dangerous one on Idaho roads as a teen driver was killed in a crash with a tractor in Twin Falls County and multiple semi-truck-involved accidents occurred in Southern Idaho.

ISP are also now asking for public assistance with a hit-and-run accident involving a pedestrian that happened late in June.

Teen Killed in Twin Falls County Crash with Tractor

Sunday afternoon in Twin Falls County, around 12:15, Idaho State Police responded to a 2-vehicle collision south of Buhl. ISP report:

A yellow John Deere front-end loader driven by a 34-year-old male, was traveling westbound on 3600 N, and was making a right turn onto 1300 E when it struck a green 1999 Dodge Ram 2500. The pickup, driven by a 19-year-old male from Buhl, Idaho, was traveling southbound on 1300 E when the two vehicles collided and came to rest in a field south of the intersection.

The driver of the Dodge Ram succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the John Deere was not transported.

The tragic accident blocked traffic for around 5 hours as emergency responders from the ISP, Camas County, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office, Buhl Police, Castleford Fire and QRU, Magic Valley Paramedics, Air St. Luke’s, and SIRCOMM assisted at the scene.

Pedestrian Hit by Car in Southern Idaho Near Wyoming Border

Idaho State Police are requesting assistance and information regarding a hit-and-run accident that happened a few weeks ago on June 28th between 4 and 5 AM near the Idaho/Wyoming border.

An unknown vehicle was traveling eastbound on US Highway 26, behind a pickup truck. The pickup swerved left to avoid the pedestrian. The unknown vehicle swerved to the right, struck the pedestrian, and did not remain at the scene.

The impact was minor and the driver may not know that they struck anyone.

Police are looking for information from anyone who was in the area at the time as a witness or has any information regarding the accident.
