Rejoice: Magic Mountain Ski Resort Opens this Weekend in Southern Idaho

There are years in Southern Idaho when the ski resorts don’t open until January due to a lack of snow, but this year there’s plenty of powder, and Magic Mountain is ready to open for the season.

Southern Idaho Ski Resorts Now Open For 2022

Pomerelle Ski Resort was lucky enough to open around Thanksgiving in Southern Idaho, but Magic Mountain has been waiting for one more good snowstorm to drop a thick blanket of snow on the slopes. That snow has arrived and Magic Mountain will be opening on December 10th, 2022.

After Saturday there will be a short break and then they’ll be open from the 17th until January 1st from 9 AM to 4 PM. They’ll be closed on Christmas and closing an hour early on Christmas Eve.

Magic Mountain Ski Resort In Southern Idaho

Magic Mountain is 26 miles south of Kimberly, Idaho nestled in the South Hills with 11 trails of various degrees of difficulty. The mountain is open to skiing and snowboards and the tubing hill is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun time in the snow. We’ll update you all when they announce the opening day for cosmic tubing which adds colorful lights to the nighttime tubing experience.
