2024-2025: It’s Back to School Time in the Magic Valley

We recently shared a story about how much kids will hate the new rules for cell phone use in the Twin Falls School District for the upcoming school year. Well, we are the bearers of more bad news for the kids: school starts again for the majority of kids in about a month or less.

For some schools it’s earlier, but most start in the middle of August, and one school doesn’t start until the first week of September.

The Magic Valley has quite a few school districts and a variety of start dates for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. It’s hard to believe that summer is almost over. Even though it happens every year, it doesn’t get any easier telling the young ones that they have to start waking up early again soon.

When is the 1st Day of School in Twin Falls?

The Twin Falls School District goes back to class on August 19th. Lighthouse Christian School heads back on August 14th and Xavier Charter School starts the latest, with their first day of school on September 3rd. Keep scrolling to see full calendars for schools in and around Twin Falls.

When do Kids Go Back to School Around the Magic Valley?

In the cities around Twin Falls, the variety of start dates expands. Buhl will have their first day back on August 13th, Kimberly schools start on August 20th, Hansen starts the 14th of August, Jerome goes back on August 19th, and Gooding will split the school year start date between August 19th and 20th.
