An injury accident from a few weeks ago in Idaho has been updated to a fatal accident now that a driver injured in the crash has passed away at the hospital.

The accident happened on December 14th between an SUV and a semi-truck north of Twin Falls, Idaho near the Jerome Gun Club.

In the updated report from the Idaho State Police, we learn that the 43-year-old female driver of the SUV passed away today, December 29th, at the hospital. She was taken by air ambulance to a local hospital when the accident happened on December 14th. The driver of the semi did not require medical attention.

In the original ISP Report, it states that the crash happened on US 93 at mile marker 64 in Jerome County at 5:44 PM.

A 43-year-old female from Twin Falls was traveling northbound in a 2022 Audi Q5.

The driver veered into the southbound lane, going head-on with a 2024 Freightliner Cascadia that was traveling southbound, driven by a 65-year-old male from Cottonwood Heights, Utah.

Both vehicles left the highway. The driver of the Audi was wearing her seatbelt but required air transport to a local hospital.

The accident is being investigated by the Idaho State Police.
