Another April Fool's Day has come and gone in southern Idaho.

I narrowly dodged a MacGyver-like rigging of a studio door here at the radio station Wednesday morning that would have resulted in a face full of confetti at 4:30 A.M., but luckily, the exploding popper malfunctioned. I took it easy on my co-workers, friends, and family this year, and opted to go prank-less for April 1.

I witnessed some great pranking on area businesses' social media pages Wednesday. Some of the best ones came from places like Twin Flames of Buhl, The Jerome Police Department, and the law enforcement team that gets my overall vote for BEST APRIL FOOL's GAG 2026, the Twin Falls Police Department.

I arrived to work to find an armed confetti popper on the door and about 70 balloons in my work cubicle, along with a copy of Brandy's memoir.

The jokes on the person who did it, because I already read her book! What a waste of $5. (BURN!)

The Twin Falls Police Department wins in a landslide this week. The department's post about the formation of the Holiday Decorations Enforcement Task Force (HDETF) was a thing of beauty.

It's not often we see the Jerome Police Department get outdone as far as social media humor, but that's just the case with April Fool's Day this year.

Well done everyone!
