Internet Says New Twin Falls, Idaho Restaurant Opened. But Did It?
Twin Falls, Idaho, was struck with a surprise restaurant closure last year when Golden Corral suddenly closed its doors and laid off all its employees. With the sadness still fresh at the loss of one of the greatest buffet options in Twin Falls, rumors began swirling of an exciting replacement coming to town.
That restaurant was Raising Cane’s, and earlier this year in May, the Golden Corral building was torn down, and the new building construction began. Three months later, a search of Google says that Raising Cane’s is now open in Twin Falls.
But is it really?
Did Raising Cane’s Secretly Open in Twin Falls, Idaho
A search for ‘Raising Cane’s Twin Falls’ says the restaurant is open on most weekdays and Sunday from 9 AM to 2 AM and 9 AM to 3 AM on Friday and Saturday. The information was updated 7 days ago.
But I drove by the location, and it is far from ready. There are no doors on the building, the exterior and interior aren’t finished, and there isn’t even a parking lot. The site is still surrounded by construction equipment and chain link fencing.
Clearly, Raising Cane’s isn’t open yet. But they are getting close and are hiring for a Restaurant Leader and an Assistant Restaurant Leader on their careers page.
So, why the confusion? The Google information says it was ‘updated by others’ a week ago. It would appear those ‘others’ are not the owners of the restaurant.
