Near the end of January, 17 puppies were rescued and taken to a shelter in Southern Idaho. All the puppies came from the same house, and the story went viral online with concerns about where they came from and interest in adopting them.

With nearly a thousand shares of the social media post and hundreds of comments, it didn’t take long for them all to get adopted into new homes.

A New Chance: 17 Puppies Rescued From 1 Home in Southern Idaho

According to the post from the Blackfoot Animal Shelter & Rescue on Facebook, the puppies are all about 6 months old and are mixed-breed dogs that should grow to medium or large-sized dogs.

It doesn’t take a lot for the internet to jump on a cause, and puppies are a cause most people support, so it didn’t take long for all of the puppies to get adopted. The original post was sent out on January 26th around 1 PM and almost exactly three days later, the shelter posted that they all had new homes. Many of the other dogs that had already been at the shelter were also adopted during those three days.

The post was so viral that it reached other states. The Humane Society of Jefferson County in Tennessee volunteered to take all the dogs if Blackfoot could transport them. That didn’t happen as the puppies all found homes locally from the shelter.
