October is more than half over, but there are still plenty of days left in the fall season. While one of the best parts about fall is Halloween, there is also more to enjoy. There is football, perfect weather, leaves falling, hay and corn mazes, pumpkin carving, and of course, the fall foods. Some enjoy soup and chili around this time of year, others enjoy the candy and sweets, and most enjoy pumpkin-flavored foods. There are many delicious things to eat in the fall, but when it comes to the pumpkin-flavored food items, which is Idaho's favorite?

Some hate it, but most enjoy all the different pumpkin spice food items that are offered in the fall. Every food place seems to have something pumpkin-flavored this time of year, and there are many options. Pumpkin pancakes, muffins, cookies, bread, pie, latte, and more are just a few of the items you can find right now. Some of these items are offered all year, and others only come out this time of year. Pumpkin shakes, pancakes, muffins, cookies, and pumpkin-spiced lattes are typically found in the fall, whereas pumpkin pie and bread can be found more commonly throughout the year. With so many options, which is the favorite, and which one in Idaho is the best?

A recent study on coffeeness.de revealed what each state's favorite pumpkin item is this time of year, and the results are a tad surprising. According to the study, the most popular foot item is pumpkin bread, with 20 states having chosen it as their favorite, the second was pumpkin muffins with 11 states choosing them, and pumpkin cookies being third with 9 states choosing them. When it comes to the Gem State, Idaho agrees with most states and has let it be known that they prefer pumpkin bread over any other pumpkin-flavored food. In terms of Idaho's neighbors, Washington, Oregon, and Montana all agree with Idaho, while Wyoming says pumpkin pie is their favorite, and Utah and Nevada chose pumpkin cookies.
