Is Idaho a Religious or Sinful State to Live In?

Idaho is known to be a pretty conservative and religious state, with many different religions having strong followers in the area. It is because of this, that Idaho is typically near the top of the list for least sinful states, and last year was ranked the least sinful state in the country. Another year has passed, and things have changed in Idaho. Is it that the many people that have moved here have corrupted the state or is it that Idaho has changed its morals? Whatever the reason, Idaho is no longer the least sinful state in the country, but which state is, which is the most sinful, and how far has Idaho fallen on the list?

The Least and Most Sinful States in the Country

WalletHub released a new list ranking the least sinful states to the most sinful and used the seven deadly sins to do so. For those unfamiliar with the sins, they are anger and hatred, jealousy, excess and vices, greed, lust, vanity, and laziness. According to the list, Nevada is the most sinful state, which isn't surprising since Sin City resides there. The second most sinful state is California, with Louisiana rounding out the top three. The least sinful state, that overtook Idaho, is our neighbor to the east, Wyoming.

While Idaho is no longer the least sinful state in the country, the good news is it only fell to second. Low rankings are good on this list, and Idaho ranks 41 in anger and hatred, is the state with the least amount of jealousy ranking at 50, 36 in excess and vices, 38 in greed, 43 in lust, and 39 in both vanity and laziness. Idaho has the third-fewest thefts per capita, only behind New Hampshire and Massachusetts.

While Idaho may no longer be the least sinful state, we are still doing pretty well in our morals. You can blame all the people moving here, or perhaps Wyoming has changed its ways.
