Idaho Falls Man Sentenced to 10 Years for Having Child Pornography
POCATELLO, Idaho (KLIX)-A 27-year-old Idaho Falls man will be 37 when he is released from federal prison for possession of more than a thousand images of child pornography. According to U.S. Attorney Rafael Gonzalez, Jr., Robert Neil Curran, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for possession of child pornography and ordered to serve 15 years on supervised release by Chief U.S. District Judge David Nye. According to court records, in October of 2019 law enforcement got a tip that Curran had used a popular social media site to share child pornography. He was later arrested by his parole officer for unauthorized access to the internet and admitted to investigators he had more than 1,600 sexually explicit images of children. Curran pleaded guilty in September of 2021.
