Are Officials in Idaho Cities Running Their Towns Well?

The way a city is ran can dictate if it is a good place to live or not. While it isn't a deciding factor, the town officials have a heavy responsibility to keep a town running well and not let it go downhill to a point that everyone is looking to leave town. There is a lot that goes into running a town, and the pressure is immense, but what cities in America are run the best, which are run the worst, and how do the cities in Idaho compare to them all?

It takes a team to run a city, and you have to have the right people in charge to run a good city. WalletHub recently released a list of the best ran cities and the worst ran cities, and ranked them by using categories such as quality of city services, and total budget per capita. The third best ran city is Nashua, New Hampshire and the second best ran city is Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky. Out of a possible 149 cities, the worst ran city is San Francisco, with Chattanooga, Tennessee being the second worst, and New York City rounding out the bottom three.

You may have noticed that the best ran city we excluded from above, and that is because the number one ran city in America lies in Idaho, but it isn't the city that you think. According to the list, Nampa is the best ran city in the country. It ranks 34 in quality of city services, but number one in total budget per capita. Boise ranks highly as well, coming in at fourth on the list. Boise is 9 in quality of services and 7 in total budget per capita. Idaho doesn't top many 'best of' lists, but knowing our cities are some of the best ran in the country is something all Idahoans should be proud of. As long as those in charge continue doing what they are, there is no reason that the two biggest cities in the Gem State can't continue to thrive and be run better than any other city in the country. Good job Nampa and Boise, way to represent.
