TWIN FALLS, Id. ( KMVT / KSVT ) Twin Falls police arrested five people late Saturday night after Walmart security personnel witnessed the group hiding items from the store.

Police say at just after 11 pm, a group of two males and three females were working together to conceal merchandise in plastic Walmart bags the group brought with them. Police identified the suspects as Michael Pena, 18, Duane Diamond, 18, Dezarae Fenstermaker, 19, Erica Villasenor 23 and Amanda Rich, 19. According to information filed with the court, they all live in Burley.

According to the police report presented in court Monday, the five were seen in several departments including the Jewelry, Electronics, Toys, Sporting Goods and clothing. Police say they walked to the front register where they “nervously” watched the greeter checking the receipts as customers exited. They turned around, police say, and went to the back of the store where they were seen stuffing as much as they could in the females purses. Police stopped them as they exited the store. A total of 74-items were recovered with a value of $844.56.

Police say both Fenstermaker and Diamond passed out during questioning. Pena meanwhile, boasted of his abilities as a thief and said that he had stolen many times before, calling himself a pro, trying to lay claim to many of the items within their possession. They were arraigned in a Twin Falls Courtroom Monday.
