Has anyone else found themselves getting hit right in the feels by songs that you've heard 1,000 times?

Even though just about every race I was looking forward to this spring has been canceled, I'm still heading out to run as often as I can. Those 60-90 minutes feel more normal than any other part of the day. During my long runs, I've popped on my headphones and push shuffle on all of the songs I have from my favorite band on my iPhone. I've heard these songs so many times, but I'm catching certain lyrics just stopping me in my tracks. Words like "everything we got is everything we need," "after all, all we are is all we need" and "in the end my friends, we will all be together again, clutching onto my hand, in a valley we'll stand just living again" just ring truer now more than ever.

That band's lead singer played a sixty minute set on Instagram live last night that brought over 5,000 of us feeling the same thing together. There was something powerful about being in the same "room" with so many familiar faces with people that I've met because of the band's music. It truly felt like we are all still connected even though we're far from throwing back beers during the pre-show tailgate at Red Rocks.

Many of you have attended virtual concerts over the past few weeks have expressed similar feelings and gratitude for the power of music. If you haven't had the opportunity to check one out and you're not sure how to find them, our friends at ExtraMile Arena want to be that resource for you.

They kicked off a #MusicMonday social media feature where they promise to share at least one #quarantineconcert or some sort of exclusive "live" opportunity with your favorite artists on Mondays. Today they're featuring a video premiere and live chat with country superstar, Luke Combs at 5 p.m.

If you want to be kept in the loop with other features, make sure you give them a follow on social media! That's also one of the easiest ways to stay up to date with shows at the arena that have been postponed and rescheduled or are waiting a new date.

BTW, if you're curious about the band I mentioned, their name is Of A Revolution (better known as O.A.R.) Those three songs that have given me that much needed boost of hope are "Heaven," "Free" and "City on Down." Give them a listen when you feel like you're about to hit a low point.
