Feared, Massive Ice Cave East Of Rexburg Idaho ‘Wants To Kill You’
It's a completely unnatural act for a human being to use ropes and specialty gear to navigate dark caves for the fun of it. A cave considered to be one of the most challenging and feared in America is located just over the southeastern Idaho border in Wyoming.
I'm not wild about the idea of exploring caves, and when they are covered with ice, the idea is even more unpleasant. Ice and darkness are two foes that can turn an exciting idea into a disaster very quickly, which is exactly what happened to a couple eight years ago 60 miles east of Rexburg.
The Darby Canyon Wind Caves south of Mt. Bannon in western Wyoming are out 'to kill you,' according to one adventure publication. Navigating through these narrow, unforgiving, icy walls takes an experienced climber.

Make sure to bring plenty of supplies with you like warm clothes, light sources, and water if you plan to explore these caves after dark. It's also never a good idea to hike alone, so traveling with a companion will give you better chances of getting out of the caves should something go wrong.
