When it comes to parenting little ones, there are many things you don't want to hear being recalled. Snacks you feed your children, toys they play with, high chairs they use, but the car seat might be the one that tops the list. Recently, a certain car seat issued a recall, and if you have it for your child, you may need to take action. According to consumerreports.com if you have a Safety 1st car seat for your little one, it might be one of the ones being recalled. Over 180,000 car seats are being recalled due to a choking hazard in the foam headset.

Little children often find a way to put everything in their mouths. This can cause stress for parents as little ones are susceptible to choking more than others. There is foam in the headsets of the car seat mentioned above and some children have been able to get pieces of foam separated from the headset and into their mouths. Foam is not ideal to be in anyone's mouth, especially that of a baby. There have been thirteen reports so far of children doing so, and thankfully none lead to choking, but it could if more children continue to do so. If your car seat is registered, and you take the right steps, you should receive a new head set sometime this summer. In the meantime, it is best to keep an eye on your children in the car or get them a new car seat.
