With the arrival of the Christmas season in Canyon County, crews are hard at work stringing the lights for the 12th annual "Winter Wonderland" display.

The City of Caldwell started their Winter Wonderland display in 2007 using just 20,000 individual lights to set the mood for the season.  Each passing year brought more bulbs and more one-of-a-kind displays that you won't see anywhere else in the Treasure Valley. When they flip the switch at this year's Winter Wonderland Festival, this year's display will feature over one million LED bulbs spanning more than six blocks of Indian Creek Park.

So when's the first time you can see the finished product? Friday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m. That's when we'll push pause on all of the fun happening at the Winter Wonderland Festival and invite everyone over to the creek to watch the display illuminate.

The FREE festival itself runs from 5-10 p.m. and includes FREE photos with Santa, live holiday music from carolers, choirs, musicians and bands, a food court and market on Main Street and 7th Avenue and a chance to visit with your kids' favorite characters from Frozen 2 at the Luxe Reel Theatre, just a short walking distance from the Indian Creek Plaza Stage. If you're hoping to lace up your skates, the Ice Ribbon will be open for the season. Normal rink/rental fees apply.

One thing that we absolutely love about this year's Winter Wonderland Festival is the fact that Caldwell's making getting there easier this year. If you don't want to spend forever searching for parking, you can park at the O'Connor Field House/Caldwell Events Center and take a free shuttle to the movie theater near the plaza. The shuttles will run every few minutes from 5:30-10 p.m.

The display will remain lite through January 15, 2020. More details HERE!
