Boise State Broncos Hosting Nevada For Top Conference Spot
The Boise State Broncos men's basketball team have arguably their most important game of the regular season tomorrow night. They face a team that got the best of them last time they squared off three weeks ago.
The Broncos (20-5) will host The Nevada Wolf Pack (21-5) Wednesday night at the Taco Bell Arena in Boise. Nevada beat Boise State 74-68 on January 20th, and could manage to get a firm hold on the top spot in the Mountain West Conference if they earn another victory tomorrow night.
Nevada relinquished the number one spot to Boise following their loss to UNLV back on February 7th, but quickly climbed back to the top following the Broncos loss to Utah State last Saturday. If Boise State manages to win Wednesday night, it would propel them into first place in the conference, and hand Nevada their sixth loss of the season.
A win tomorrow evening for Boise State would also improve the team's record to 11-3 in the Mountain West Conference. The Broncos also have the opportunity to steal Nevada's 24th national ranking with a win as well. Boise State remains perfect at home so far at 13-0.
Just five games remain in the regular season, with championship play beginning March 3rd. The game will be broadcast on 98.3 FM, "The Snake," tomorrow night, starting with pre-game at 9 P.M. (MT)
