The Fall events are in full swing from Trunk-or-Treats, Pumpkin Decorating and Zoo Boise have their own list of Spooktacular events.

There will be two weekends in October dedicated to Spooktacular events at Zoo Boise. Spooktacular runs on October 11-13 and October 18-20 in the evenings. The Zoo always has great turnout and weather conditions are usually awesome right before it gets really cold.

What is Spooktacular? They call this a "merry-not-scary" event for everyone. This probably makes a lot of sense because you don't want all these animals getting freaked out when they Cat-Dog rolling through the park. You don't need the lions and tigers getting too excited!.

Zoo Boise will host several activities for the kids, great Halloween displays and a great opportunity to meet some of the animals.

The cost is $10 dollars and hours vary from Friday to Saturday.

  • Fridays from 6-9 p.m.
  • Saturdays from 5:30 p.m.-8 p.m.

If you're a part of the Friends of Zoo Boise Members - you receive a $1 dollar discount off your admission into the park. Conservation Circle members are free.

  • Adults over 12 - ($10)
  • Seniors over 62 - ($8)
  • Child 3-11 - ($7)
  • 2 and under - (FREE)
