Woman Makes Guilty Plea in CSI Theft Case
TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — A south-central Idaho woman authorities say stole $530,000 from the College of Southern Idaho where she worked has pleaded guilty to five counts of felony grand theft. The Times-News reports that 41-year-old Dawn Marie Orr made the plea Monday in 5th District Court. Authorities say Orr in July told her boss she took the money but estimated the amount at between $50,000 and $100,000.
Orr, a former business office employee at the college, is scheduled to be sentenced May 26. Prosecutors are recommending a sentence of five to 14 years in prison and that Orr repay the money she took.
