In light of the recent hurricane on the east coast, Twin Falls police are cautioning residents to be careful about who they donate money to. Police say they have seen at least one facebook scam concerning hurricane Irene and expect more to pop up in the coming weeks. They say If you would like to donate to the relief effort, to be sure to do research on the organization you are donating to. If you receive calls or e-mails for donations, ask questions and never agree to send money without verifying that the organization is legitimate. Never give banking or credit card information over the phone or through e-mail. One final tip..If you are the victim of a scam call the police and report it
