PHOTOS: Twin Falls ID Mass Shooting Park Vigil, In-N-Out Memorial

Several hundred Twin Falls residents gathered Tuesday evening at the city park to show support for the victims of the August 1 mass shooting at the In-N-Out Burger and visitor center that made national headlines. While the event, which began at 9 P.M., was underway, many others from the community were visiting the restaurant's curbside memorial on Blue Lakes Boulevard and walking through the parking lot.

I made my way down to the Twin Falls City Park just after 9 P.M. I had initially driven down Shoshone Street an hour earlier, and a crowd had already begun to form. Information about the victims, along with dozens of candles and flowers, was placed in front of the band shell. People brought their pets, and the vibe was very friendly and compassionate.

The crowd was a blend of media, local citizens, and law enforcement and fire personnel from the county.

After we left the park, we drove over to the In-N-Out location at 1965 Blue Lakes Boulevard North. A few dozen people were walking the parking lot and kneeling beside the curbside memorial when we arrived just before 11 P.M.

I walked the lot and visitor center grounds with my wife and chatted about the events of August 1, 2026. Some shed tears, while others stood, staring at the candle flames in deep thought.

It was nice to see so many in the community come together for our victims.
