Why The Magic Valley Has Ruined Halloween For Children
Halloween is still a few days away, and many are counting the days and hours until it is here. The chance to go door-to-door trick-or-treating, to wear costumes, and to celebrate one of the best days of the year. It is a day that many look forward to and has many memories for adults. Every year parents tell their children about their best Halloween memories, as well as their coworkers, friends, and family members. While Halloween is a great holiday full of memories, candy, and great times, the Magic Valley has ruined it for children and residents, and it isn't going to get better anytime soon.
Has the Magic Valley Ruined Halloween?
This past weekend there were many trunk-or-treats in the Magic Valley. It brought out many families, not only in Twin Falls but from surrounding towns as well. It won't stop there though, as there will be more trunk-or-treats in the days building up to Halloween, as well as a few festivals and events. With so much candy being passed out the week before Halloween and nearly every day for over a week, do children need to go trick-or-treating or do anything on Halloween?
Too Many Trunk-Or-Treats in the Magic Valley
There have been many trunk-or-treats over the last few days and they continue to happen, making it pointless for families to take their children out on Halloween. Some places will have trunk-or-treats on the holiday, which allows for a safe option for families and allows them to get out on Halloween, but far too many do them days or even weeks in advance, bringing on Halloween fatigue. By the time the holiday rolls around, many families are tired of putting on costumes, driving around, collecting candy, and perhaps tired of eating candy. What once was a one-night holiday has turned into a holiday that is celebrated for weeks, if not close to a month long.
There is no denying that the Halloween season is well celebrated and represented in the Magic Valley, but because the area does such a good job of putting on events and activities, it has watered down the actual holiday. Trunk-or-treats ruined trick-or-treating years ago, and by having so many not on Halloween, it perhaps has ruined the holiday as a whole in the Magic Valley.
