Avoid the Nasty Disease in the Gem State That Has Many Praying for Death
Typically diseases in Idaho spread the most during winter. Everyone is stuck inside due to cold weather, and can't escape their coworkers, or their family members, and the nasty weather typically leads to more diseases occurring. That isn't always the case as illnesses don't take a day off, and with many people traveling in the summer, it can often lead to the introduction of new diseases, depending on where people went and who they came into contact with. There is one nasty illness making its way around Idaho, and at times has gotten so bad that those who have had it would have preferred death, instead of fighting it. What are the symptoms and what is it you need to be on the lookout for?
Stomach Illness Making Idahoans Extremely Sick
One of the worst feelings to feel in life is throwing up. It takes a lot of energy, it drains every ounce of it, and it can often be painful. One of the only things worse than throwing up is to do it over, and over, and over again. There is a nasty stomach bug that has made its way to Idaho recently, which is causing many residents to hug the nearest trashcan, bucket, or toilet and anticipate the next round of puke coming up. It isn't pleasant and it isn't something anyone wants to get. The good news is that it typically doesn't last long, as most patients seem to have it between 24 to 48 hours, but during that time, death might sound like a better option.
Symptoms for Stomach Bug in Idaho
While many people are left with their previous meal coming up from the bug, not everyone is affected the same. Some people's bodies are designed differently, making this disease affect them differently. If things aren't coming up from above like it is for many, the other end will be left going, and that can at times be worse. The good news is that there appears to be no fever, chills, or aches from having it, but a lack of appetite, discomfort, stomach aches, and fatigue will follow. Expect rapid weight loss and nausea. Fatigue from running to the restroom and the pain from the abdominal area will have you praying for it to end, but make it through a day or two, and things will clear up.
Sadly, the typical tricks of anti-nausea medicine, Pepto-Bismol, or sipping ginger ale do not seem to help. If anything, the more you attempt to consume, the worse it gets. It is being spread through workplaces, daycares, and friends, so the only safe way to avoid it is to stay inside. If you get it, clear your schedule, because your home for the next 24 to 48 hours will be the nearest restroom. Good luck, and hopefully you can avoid the stomach bug going around in Idaho.
