There have been a lot of cool and useful inventions in the last 100 years. So, before Legos and Barbies - what did kids want for Christmas 100 years ago? A look back at actual letters to Santa from 1913 is a real eye opener about the requests that kids are making today!

This is so wrong, and yet so funny.  I can't decide which one I am.  Amused or furious???  Help me decide.

The internet exploded this week with news that a Fargo woman was going to hand out letters instead of candy to kids she deemed as "moderately obese," but is it all just a hoax?

This year, some children in Fargo, North Dakota may get a bigger trick than treat when hitting the streets for trick-or-treating. That's because a woman in the city has decided to take a stand against childhood obesity, which on its face it's a noble effort. However, the method in which she is doing it is turning heads.

Lets be honest...every year I tell my self I will not plow through a bag of Halloween candy. And every year at this time I am buying a second bag of candy because I ate the first one. The only way I have been successful in not eating a bag of candy is if I buy candy that I don't like.

Halloween is by far the greatest candy involved holiday.

My kids collected five Ziploc bags full of candy for Easter plus four chocolate bunnies so I have been helping them eat it. My husband insists that it is wrong of me to eat their candy because it is theirs.

Every year we buy a mass amount of chocolate malt balls and jelly beans to fill plastic eggs for Easter. This year my husband suggested putting money in all of the eggs so that the kids wouldn't have as much candy after Easter.

We've previously shared with you videos of poor kids making adorably sour faces while tasting the deceptively delicious candy Warheads. These kids are expecting something sweet, and what they get is punch of sour right in the face.

We had a lot more trick or treaters at our home than we where expected which lead to a major candy shortage. I couldn't turn off my porch light and turn the cute kiddos away so I "borrowed" some candy that my child had collected while trick or treating.

If your kid is SO optimistic about his trick-or-treating haul tonight that he goes out with a PILLOWCASE, don't worry.  He's not going to be able to fill it up. According to the website MyScienceProject.org and Deseret News, it would take approximately 1,690 pieces of candy to fill up a pillowcase.

There’s one single treat in the history of all candy deliciousness that makes us feel so torn. Candy corn -- we hate to love it and love to hate it. How is it possible it can taste so bad, yet be so irresistible? It’s a Halloween trick AND treat. (See what we did there?)
