School is out and summer is in full swing. Kids are looking for fun things to do and parents are seeking ways to get their children out of the house to use their energy, get some peace away from them, and let them have some fun. Going to the movies is great but can be expensive, going swimming is always nice but the sun can take a toll, and some things kids are too big or too small to do. There is one way to entertain your children this summer in the Magic Valley that you may not be aware of and is worth checking out for family and summer fun.

There are a few hidden gem places in the Magic Valley you likely drive past every day and have no idea they are there. It can be a place that offers good food, shopping, or entertainment. One of these places is the Pit Stop which is racing simulators and is a fun way to get your kids out of the house. If you have ever wanted to drive a race car, this is as close as you can get without actually being in one. With vibrating seats, realistic steering, and the ability to race others, it is something your children will enjoy.

Pit Stop is located at Suite 643, Blue Lakes Blvd N and its hours of operation vary. However, this summer, they will be looking to be open from 3 PM to 9 PM on weekdays, 3 PM to 10 PM on Fridays, and noon to 10 PM on weekends. This is a great way to get cooled off in the summer heat while having some fun, and having an experience. They have six simulators and the pricing is $7.50 for 10 minutes, and you can check the pricing for more times by looking at the picture above. For those unfamiliar with the simulators you can hook up and race other racers as well as mic up and talk to each other. There is also an arcade and two PS 5s while you wait or want to go but do not use the simulators. You can rent out the whole place for a private party and have the building to yourself this summer if looking for birthdays, family reunions, or company parties. Throughout the summer there will be race nights and they are looking to set up a tournament where you can win trophies and cash prizes.

26 Funniest Idaho Mentions in Urban Dictionary

COLLEGE SLANG
It was 1999 when Aaron Peckham, a then-freshman at Cal Tech, launched Urban Dictionary to index student slang spoken on college campuses across the country.

Despite its comedic origins, Peckham's parody forum quickly evolved into a series of unconstrained mini conversations that checked stuffy academic writing at the door; 26 of which are featured in the gallery.
