PHOTOS: New Twin Falls Hilton Hotel Will Have a View and a Half
Twin Falls largest construction project in quite some time is taking shape on the Snake River Canyon edge next to the visitor center. What was once an engineering illustration now has four visible layers and stands tall, a stone's throw from several stores and eateries near the Perrine Bridge.
Tuesday morning, I got a wild hair and decided to cruise down Blue Lakes Boulevard to check out the progress construction crews are making on the new Hilton. Turning into the parking lot, I passed the new In-N-Out that is nearing completion, and I was instantly in the mood to smash a burger and fondle some fries.
The sun was shining beautifully through the windows of the Twin Falls Visitor Center Tuesday just before noon as I walked the trail that runs behind the new 124-room Hilton hotel, perched just feet from the canyon's edge.

I walked around the entire property as the construction crew enjoyed lunch on a nearby lawn. Music could be heard from the top story as a few crewmen enjoyed the view, which includes a portion of the Snake River, Centennial Park, the Perrine Bridge, and both golf courses on opposite sides of the canyon.

The new hotel will offer an amazing view. The location couldn't be better, and it includes a mall, two large shopping centers, several restaurants, and a movie theater all within walking distance.
