Filer, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Nampa Police Department has concluded its investigation into last month’s officer involved shooting of a Filer man’s dog.

According to a press release issued by the City of Filer, the Filer City Council will now review the investigations findings. Any possible personnel action taken by the City of Filer will not be released to the public without the employee’s written consent.

Officer Tarek Hassani shot Filer resident Rick Clubb's dog, Hooch, at point-blank range claiming it had become aggressive. You can watch the original video here.

The dog's death has divided the Magic Valley. Since the shooting, people have held rallies in support of the dog's owner, and in support of the officer.
