The Idaho Falls Police Department is asking for any information people might have about equipment that was stolen from a Montana fire crew on Sunday, November 3, 2019.

Police said while traveling back after helping fight fires in California, the fire crew with Park County Rural Fire District 1 stopped and spent the night at the Super 8. While there, about $1,500 worth of their equipment was stolen from their truck between 11 p.m. Sunday and 6:30 a.m. Monday at the hotel.

If you have any information about the incident or see any of the items taken (including a yeti cooler, radios, fire line bags, and first aid kits) show up on for sale sites, police ask that you call them immediately.

You can report any information you might have by calling the Idaho Falls Police Department at 208-529-1200. You can also reach out to Crime Stoppers at 208-522-1983 or ifcrime.org if you wish to remain anonymous or are interested in a cash reward.
