Cult Classic ‘Newsies’ Hits the Stage as a Live Musical [VIDEO]

‘Newsies,’ the 1992 Disney cult classic based on the true story about the Newsboys Strike of 1899, didn’t really call itself a musical, but with a dozen song and dance routines, it’s hard to deem it anything else.

The theater world seems to agree, because the film has now been adapted into a stage musical. But without original stars Christian Bale, Robert Duvall, and Ann-Margret, will anyone care?
