Ice Fishermen Catch Monster Lake Trout on Lake Superior [VIDEO]

With Lake Superior being the biggest freshwater lake in the world, it would stand to reason some big fish live in the waters of old Gitche Gumee. Even then, these fishermen were surprised by their catch.

With the polar vortex bearing down on the United States in the winter of 2014 and the Great Lakes almost completely freezing over, these fishermen headed miles out onto Lake Superior to find some lake trout. Little did they know they would catch this monster. It's amazing they even managed to get the beast through the hole they had drilled in the ice.
