A CG trailer for Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor has just been released ahead of E3, showing off Talion's badassitude.

The trailer is nearly two minutes long and features Talion leaving a message for the Orc captain that slaughtered his family. This message comes in the form of a sniveling Orc soldier with Talion's Wraith-infused handprint on his... uh, I guess we can call it a face.

To call this video "violent" would be an understatement. Given that Shadow of Mordor will carry an M rating for "Mature," we're treated to a visceral display of blades cutting through flesh like a hot knife through butter and multiple stabbings to necks, chests and other parts that spew out blood. It's pretty metal. Watch the trailer for all of the ultra-violence and to get a peek at some of Talion's motivations for working with the Wraith possessing him in order to get back at Sauron's forces.
