Filling up with gas has to be one of the most frustrating things to do regularly. You get in the car expecting to go somewhere, only to discover you forgot to fill up with gas the day before and have to take time out of your day, to go out of your way, and fill the tank. When it is hot, it is miserable, and when it is cold, it is unbearable. Filling the tank is never fun, and the only thing that makes it worse is when you show up to the station to find out the pumps are out of order, or maybe they are gone altogether. One gas station in the Magic Valley has fixed a major issue it has had for the last couple of months, and customers are thrilled.

Late in September, the Shell gas station in Buhl went out of order. It was originally expected to be down for a few days, maybe a couple of weeks, but the days turned into weeks, and then into a month, and then longer. Residents and customers were left asking how long until they could fill their vehicles again, and were forced to fill up elsewhere. The pumps went down after an electrical issue, and a debate ensued on who was responsible for fixing the issue. Eventually, the debate was resolved, and the pumps were entirely taken out. With a hole in the ground, no pumps, and a fence around the area, it seemed like it could be a long time until gas was an option at the Shell station. After nearly two months, the pumps are back and ready to be used

As of Tuesday, November 18, the pumps at Shell in Buhl are functioning and are ready to fill your vehicles. To make it up to customers, Oasis has issued a statement that Kickback cardholders can receive 10 cents off per gallon for the rest of the year. With the holiday season, many will be traveling, and gas is a priority for most to get to and from the airport, to drive to their destination, or to make sure to have enough gas to get back and forth from the grocery store, or people's homes for the holidays. The average gas price currently is $3.28 in Idaho, which is reasonable considering it is typically higher around the holiday season. Make sure not to let your tank get too low, as the cold weather approaches the Gem State, so you don't end up stranded and cold if a snowstorm were to hit unexpectedly.

11 Things You May Not Want to Buy From a Idaho Gas Station

Idaho’s gas stations are super convenient. You’re stopping to fill up anyway, so why not grab a few things while you’re there? But not everything on those shelves is a smart buy. Some items are overpriced, low quality, or just plain bad for you.
