A Jerome man charged with robbing the D.L. Evans bank in Jerome earlier this summer has been sentenced to prison. 23 year old Joseph Jacobs pled guilty robbing the bank on June 10th.
He was originally charged with three felony counts of robbery and grand theft burglary. In a plea bargain he pled guilty to the robbery in August and the three felony counts of robbery were dropped. He was sentenced this week to ten years in prison but will be eligible for parole after serving five years. The same day the bank was robbed police found Jacobs at a home near the bank with a large amount of money.
